Tauriac

Tauriac is a village of ancient origin. Isarn de Tauriac is mentioned in the Act of Donation that Raimond VII, Count of Toulouse, made to his brother Bertrand in 1224, giving him the lands of Bruniquel, Monclar and Salvagnac (source: Elie Rossignol – Monographie du canton de Salvagnac).
The chateau of Tauriac (private property – not open to the public) was restored by the De Vivies family in the 18 century. The church was rebuilt in the 20 century.
