Albi, Cordes sur ciel, Gaillac
ALBI

• The cathedral houses some rare works of Art: The Last Judgement –
A large painting on plaster which decorates the western side under the large organ;
Stained glass from the 14th century, the large painted vault and the enormous choir.
• The Palais de la Berbie (1263)
surrounded by gardens in French style designed by le Notre -
houses the museum Toulouse Lautrec.
• Old Albi with its narrow winding streets flanked by very old houses.
The Pharmacie des Pénitents(16 century),
The church and cloisters of St Salvy,(11 to 15 century) mixture of roman and gothic style.

On the left bank of the Tarn , the abbey St Michel started the reputation of Gaillac Wines.
The vineyards stretch for 9000 hectares

CORDES
sur CIEL
Cordes sur Ciel was founded in 1222 after the crusade against the Cathars
who held the Cérou valley.
Cordes is one of the most important Bastides in the Midi.
The city will enchant you with its medieval houses -
true Venetian palaces, its ramparts, its workshops and museums.
